Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Inkmail: Order Email Templates ("Inkmail", "we") collects when a merchant installs and uses the app on a Shopify store, and how that information is used.

Information we collect

Inkmail requests no Shopify API permissions (access scopes). When you install the app we store only:

• Your store's Shopify domain and the access token Shopify issues at installation. These are needed to open the app inside your Shopify admin and to check which Inkmail plan your store is on.
• The email designs you create: brand settings (logo URL, colours, fonts, footer text) and the wording and layout of each notification email.

Inkmail does not collect or store any information about your customers, orders, products or collections. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising tools in the app.

How we use information

• To show your saved designs when you open the app.
• To unlock the features of the plan you selected. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify; we never see your payment details.
• To answer support requests you send us.

We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Where information is stored

The app and its database run on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers and D1). Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf to host the app.

Retention and deletion

• When you uninstall Inkmail, your store's access token is deleted immediately.
• Your saved designs are deleted when Shopify sends its shop data deletion request, which happens 48 hours after you uninstall.
• You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the information we hold about your store. Contact us at support@inkmailapp.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify merchants in the app.
